Dr. P Venkat Ratna Nag, BDS, MDS, is a distinguished dental professional currently pursuing doctoral studies at Meenakshi Ammal Dental College in Chennai, India. He earned his BDS from HKDET Dental College and completed his MDS at Yenapoya Dental College in 2004. He has specialized in implantology since 2007 and holds credentials as a Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. P Venkat Ratna Nag has advanced training in surgical and prosthetic implant procedures and digital dentistry, contributing extensively to international journals.

Dr. P Venkat Ratna Nag developed the TTPHIL ALL TILT® treatment protocol, offering a cost-effective solution for patients with bone deficiencies or those unable to undergo extensive surgeries. He has placed over 25,000 implants and is passionate about educating peers, founding the Institute for Dental Implantology in 2016. Since 2019, he has served as a Professor at Panineeya Dental College, Hyderabad.

Dr. P Venkat Ratna Nag is an active member of the Indian Society of Oral Implantologists and has received numerous awards, including Excellence in Dental Implants (2024) and Implantologist of the Year (2022). He runs a private practice, ‘The Dental Specialists’ in Hyderabad, focusing on affordable dental care for all.

Post-extraction alveolar bone resorption is primarily driven by bundle bone loss. Partial Extraction Therapy (PET), including socket shield, pontic shield, and root submergence, minimizes this resorption. The socket shield technique preserves the facial root fragment with its periodontal ligament while extracting the rest of the root, allowing for implant placement palatal/lingual to the retained fragment.
As a rapidly growing approach supported by increasing evidence, PET offers excellent aesthetic outcomes, particularly in thin phenotypes and multiple implant sites. This lecture will review the latest literature, clinical cases, indications, contraindications, and complication management in PET.

Snjezana Pohl has a dual degree in human and dental medicine. She is a specialist in oral surgery, a certificated EDA* specialist for periodontology and implantology, and a Dental XP expert.
She is in a private clinic, Rident, ADG, in Croatia. Designated as an assistant professor, she also lectures at the Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology at the School of Dental Medicine of the University of Rijeka.
Snjezana Pohl is one of the pioneers of Partial Extraction Therapy, the author of numerous scientific papers, and an active national and international lecturer. She focuses on tissue preservation, autogenous tissue utilization, and aesthetic outcomes in implant treatment.

Function and aesthetic with implants depend on case selection, planning surgery and prosthetic reconstruction. Each of this has evolved dramatically over the years. Latest implant designs helps the clinician more and more in achieving this up to date goals.

The lecture will comment the necessary requirements for modern flap design according to the amount of necessary bone and soft tissue regeneration. Modified prosthetic design of the abutment and crown will allow the gingival architecture maintained over time.

Aesthetic dental implants are more and more of importance in today`s dentistry. Success from the aesthetic aspect requires bone height and width, soft tissue architecture and prosthetic restorations close to nature. Out of these 3 elements it is the soft tissue frame which can be maintained or reconstructed either from surgery or with the right prosthetic elements.

The Ortho-Perio-Restorative interface plays a critical role in the management of worn and broken down dentition, patients with congenitally missing and malformed teeth and patients with severe alveolar defects or advanced periodontal disease involving teeth in the aesthetic
zone. This presentation will outline the interdisciplinary team approach to managing our cases predictably in our practice. The aesthetic rehabilitation of the periodontally and structurally compromised dentition in the aesthetic zone remains a challenge despite the numerous advances in the treatment of periodontitis, regenerative and dental implant therapies. The management of some cases requires some ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking.
